Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BRAIN RESEARCH AFRICA INITIATIVE
As part of the Swiss and African Brain Health Initiatives, this significant partnership aims to foster equitable and reciprocal academic and educational cooperation to advance brain health research, care and policy. Among the signatories were Professor Claudio Lino Bassetti, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern & Chair of the SFCNS Swiss Brain Health Plan, and Prof. Alfred K. NJAMNSHI K. Njamnshi, Founder and CEO of BRAIN RESEARCH AFRICA INITIATIVE.
Through this collaboration, we anticipate:
- Joint research projects: Exploring innovative approaches to address brain health challenges across the lifespan.
- Faculty and student exchange programs: Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise between our institutions.
- Capacity building: Enhancing research and training capacities within the two institutions through joint workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs.
This partnership is a follow-up of and aligns with the Yaoundé Declaration on brain economy, brain health and brain capital, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to improve brain health outcomes globally.
