The 3rd Stakeholder Meeting of the SFCNS Swiss Brain Health Plan took place on October 30, 2025 during the SFCNS Congress and became the best-attended session of the congress. It reflected Switzerland’s growing engagement in advancing brain health as a public health priority and reaffirmed the country’s leading role in global brain health advocacy.

Strong collaboration to promote brain health
The goal of the Swiss Brain Health Plan (SBHP) is to implement the Swiss Brain Health Strategy, to raise awareness about brain health and to initiate prevention programs.

On Thursday, 5 December 2024, representatives from neurology, psychiatry, health economics, public health and patient organizations met at the SFCNS Swiss Brain Health Plan- 2nd Stakeholder Meeting to discuss the aims and the development of a national brain health strategy. International guests enriched the event with valuable insights and placed the efforts in a global context.

 

SFCNS Swiss Brain Health Plan Stakeholder Meeting: Kickoff

2023

On November 22, 2023 patients, caregivers, patient organizations, healthcare professionals, researchers, as well as representatives of culture, science, governments, insurance providers, industry and international organizations, joined to officially launch the SBHP and start a united and important journey.

The first activities of the SBHP after its launch in November 2023 will include the (co-)organization of educational and scientific events across the country, a systematic analysis of the global burden of brain disorders in Switzerland, the launch of an international Certificate of Advanced Studies on Brain Health, and the creation of international collaborations.
